Black Friday 2009 Computer Deals in Raleigh

We'll be open for BLACK FRIDAY. This year we will not be having a sales event. We've been overwhelmed with repairs the last couple of weeks and we're basically going to be open so that people can drop of or pick up repairs. However there are plenty of deals in the area and we're going to list them right here! Many manufacturers are selling computers and laptops well below cost! Please keep in mind that just because one of these stores advertises the products does NOT mean they will really have them in stock when you get there. There are usually 700 people in line and just 4 or 5 items for sale.

Best Buy:

HP G60 Laptop at $197.
If you don't mind a Celeron 900 CPU that will be outperformed by 5yr old ThinkPads, this may be your choice. Windows 7 & the 15.6" screen are worth over $200 alone. It comes with a 1yr warranty. Don't expect a sub $200 laptop to last forever though. Surprisingly this has a 7200RPM hard drive. It has 2GB RAM which will run Win7 very well, it will take 4GB but we'd suggest trying it with 2GB first. You won't want to try to play any graphic intensive games on this though, it has shared Intel video. This is about a $600 machine.

Sony VGN-NW235F/W $399
These are normally found for around $700. They have a fast T4300, multiburner, 4GB RAM, 320GB HD, Windows 7 Home Premium 64, 15.6" LCD, nice all around unit for $400.

Walmart:

eMachines eME627-5279 $198
What can we say, this is an eMachine for 200 bucks. 15.6" screen, Windows 7, 2GB RAM, 160GB. The most interesting part of this machine is the rare AMD Athlon 64 1.6Ghz (TF-20) CPU. It is just a single core 1.6Ghz but you don't see these CPUs in use very often. Like the unit at Walmart, a performance 5yr old ThinkPad will be faster than this new machine.
