Well another 5150 came in today.
This one will only run on battery power and is need of a new motherboard...

I've been told this problem reflects a failure in one or more of the CMOS power chips on the motherboard. I'm also told I can get them replaced for $99 for the first chip and $49 for each additional defective chip found (if any). Does this make sence to you?
