If your laptop has no display, this can be due to several different issues. Here we offer free diagnostics on laptops, no strings attached. All laptops that arrive here for backlight replacement have the backlight tested before it is replaced. To learn more about how backlights go bad, go here.

Please note that we do not currently sell just the backlights. If you found this page and you really would like to try it yourself, you can find backlights for sale on the Internet & installation tips, too. Yes, it is possible for an end user to install a backlight. And just to make it clear, the part itself really is $10 or so. We're charging for our time. A technician that has done this hundreds of times and knows all of the tricks to each make/model does our backlight repairs in house in the order received. We also have invested thosands of dollars into various sodering equipment. This is why so many end users and computer stores all over the USA choose us for their LCD repairs.

Not all LCDs can be repaired. Also, most LCDs are not built to be taken apart- due to this, not all repairs go as planned. We can replace them as good as anyone and about 97% of repairs go just fine, but there are no guarantees. If we can not repair the LCD, there is no charge at that point. We will then quote you on a replacement LCD. And we can usually offer those at great prices, too.
